Is CPMC part of UCSF? ›

While it is a privately funded entity, CPMC has strong academic ties to the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and Stanford University Medical Center, as well as the Geisel School of Medicine of Dartmouth College.

CPMC is affiliated with Sutter Health, a not-for-profit parent of not-for-profit and for-profit companies that together form an integrated healthcare system located in Northern California. The system is committed to health equity, community partnerships and innovative, high-quality patient care.

As a private, multi-campus tertiary teaching hospital, CPMC offers a unique and rewarding educational experience through several medical education programs.
